We also have several events we are hosting that are coming up this month, from our Community Air Monitoring Card Game Development Kickoff this Tuesday the 30th to the first big community meeting for our Delavan-Grider/American Axle team this Thursday the 1st and, of course, nuestro 2024 Annual Meeting on February 27!

Narcan & Harm Reduction Training February 24

Clean Air and Erie County Department of Health will again be offering a series of emergency preparedness trainings with a mutual aid framework in 2024, starting with a training on Febrero 24 on Administering Narcan and Harm Reduction.

All classes will be held at Trinity Church, 371 Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. Due to the hands-on nature of the training, these classes are only available in-person. The space is large and masks are provided and encouraged. Breakfast snacks and/or lunch is always provided. Childcare, interpretation services, or other accessibility services provided with pre-registration.

National Fuel Rate Increase Proposed

Big Win on LNG Terminals and Fracking is Back

In response to national pressure from frontline and fenceline organizations, la Biden Administration has announced it will apply a climate test to a proposal for a massive liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Louisiana! While this does not end this chapter, this does represent a huge win for these organizations, and is worth celebrating.

Congratulations go out to resident organizers in Niagara Falls for their win against Allied Waste for their mismanagement of the Niagara Falls LandfillAllied will pay a $671,000 penalty and operate a gas collection and control system to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals released into the air, according to a news release from the Environmental Protection Agency.
