Basebuilding Teams

In addition to our environmental justice campaigns, Clean Air members can also participate in our 3 basebuilding teams. These teams are not associated with a specific environmental issue or polluting facility, instead they work to grow our movement as a whole through a variety of activities.

Membership Team

Our Membership Team works to grow our membership base, welcome new members, and improve the Clean Air membership experience. Members in our Membership Team learn how to hold one-on-one meetings with prospective members, lead our New Member Orientations, and participate in outreach events.

Events Committee

Our Events Committee organizes events that educate community members on relevant environmental issues and uphold our values of appreciation, celebration, and recognition. Members in our Events Committee organize large-scale events like our Annual Dinner in addition to smaller events such as our bi-monthly general meetings and member happy hours.

Rapid Response Team

Our Rapid Response Team supports Clean Air’s actions and those of our peer organizations. Members in our Rapid Response Team can take a direct role in turning out for actions like picketing with our union partners or take a more behind-the-scenes roles by providing childcare, water, transportation to those attending actions.
